It is now day 5 (this is a late post LOL) of #Project14Lists, a blogging event organized by Shealea of That Bookshelf Bitch. Basically, we have to publish a list of a topic of our choice for fourteen days from December 18th to December 31st. If you’re interested in joining this project or you just want to know more about it, check out Shealea’s post.
Wow, I have been consistent of posting these lists. I deserve a pat on the back. !!! I SPOKE TOO SOON !!! Today, I talk about the backlist books I want to read the most in 2019. This will not be a long list but don’t let me keep you long so let’s get started.

Welcome to day 4 of #Project14Lists, a blogging event organized by Shealea of That Bookshelf Bitch. Basically, we have to publish a list of a topic of our choice for fourteen days from December 18th to December 31st. If you’re interested in joining this project or you just want to know more about it, check out Shealea’s post.
Today’s list is all about my reading goals in 2019. My 2018 reading goals were very simple. I wanted to read at least 20 books and read more books from my physical TBR. I have been successful in reaching my goal this year so I’m hoping I will manage to reach all of my 2019 reading goals as well.
Here are my 2019 reading goals:
Bring down my physical TBR to 10 books only
I have gathered quite a large number of physical books because my self-control seems to have gone on a long vacation this year (and it hasn’t come back yet!). Because of kind-hearted people in the community who gifted me some books on my wishlist, too, my physical books have grown. This may seem difficult because I am such a huge mood reader and most of them are fantasy books but sometimes I just want to read short fluffy contemporary standalone novels. BUT I know I can do it! While I haven’t read THAT many non-YA books by several known authors, like Khaled Hosseini, Paulo Coelho, Neil Gaiman, Haruki Murakami, among others, as I’m sure I would LOVE their books (I’ll get to them in time! LOL), I have read some great books that I can share here today. I have read these books during my two-year blogging hiatus so I haven’t really talked about them on my blog before.
One taught me love, one taught me patience, and one taught me pain. —Ariana Grande
Okay, just kidding. ALL OF THESE taught me love, patience, and pain— mostly love and pain. I hope you enjoy this list and hope you read them in the future if you haven’t yet! Continue reading →
#Project14Lists is organized by Shealea of That Bookshelf Bitch. Basically, we have to publish a list of a topic of our choice for fourteen days from December 18th to December 31st. If you haven’t heard of Top 5 Wednesday #T5W, it is a weekly bookish meme created by Lainey of GingerReadsLainey and is not hosted by Samantha of Thoughts on Tomes. Click here to join the official Goodreads group. The topics are posted in the GR group.
Today’s T5W topic is our most anticipated 2019 releases. However, it is LITERALLY impossible for me to narrow down all of the 2019 releases I am most excited about because there are just too many awesome books to be released next year, I tell you. That’s why it’s a good thing Samantha mentioned we can do the first half of 2019 or even just Winter 2019. Since I’m also participating in Project 14 Lists, I decided to combine the two, heh.
As I’ve said, there are many great releases next year and I will be doing a separate post for ALL of the 2019 releases I am most excited about. But for today, here are five January to February releases I am anticipating the most. Continue reading →
I know I haven’t posted anything else after my blogoversary post, but heyyy I’m back again with another one! Also, if you haven’t seen my previous post, you should definitely check it out and join my giveaway!
Anyway, I wanted to end 2018 on a positive note with me publishing at least five posts before the end of the year and I saw Shealea‘s tweet about the #Project14Lists and I swear, that was the sign I was looking for. (Yes, I needed the push because my lazy ass just can’t seem to manage to finish drafting a single post. Ugh.)
Basically, all we have to do is post daily for the next two weeks about a list of anything, really. This is perfect since it’s all up to us to think of a topic to do. So, by doing this project, I will not only be able to post five posts before the end of the year but— get this— FOURTEEN POSTS! Well, I might not actually be able to do 14 but hey, we never know, right?
If you are interested in joining this project and just want an excuse to post some lists on your blog, bookish-related or not, check out Shealea’s post for the complete guidelines. ❤ Continue reading →
HI HELLO THERE!
Can you believe I’ve joined the bookish community four years ago???? Because I CAN’T!!!! (It must be because of my 2-year hiatus but we’re not talking about that, heh). Here’s a shocked Inori expressing my feelings.
Anyway, this year has been special to me since I’ve met a lot of new people who are just wonderful and precious ❤ through instagram and twitter. It started when Julie started the #bookishwish project and since I couldn’t pass up an opportunity to get free books, I started being active again. I started posting more on instagram, joined blog tours and a couple of bookstagram monthly photo challenges, talked to more people about books, and even chatted with some authors about their books (2019 book releases AAAHHHH!!!!).
I actually planned to host a giveaway on my birthday last September but that didn’t work out so I decided to do it this month for my blogoversary! My anniversary is on the 7th but the giveaway will run throughout the whole month. I’m actually more active on instagram since it takes me forever to write blog posts but I’ve been working on posting more regularly (and by regularly, I mean at least twice a month) and except in October, I’ve been successful with that little project so far. I’m looking forward to posting more frequently in 2019 and, of course, to reading more books!
