Monthly TBR | November 2018

IT’S THAT TIME OF THE MONTH.

Hi there. Hello. So I had a great reading month in September and a terrible one in October. For some reason, I had a lot on my plate last month and I hadn’t had the time to read or blog. It’s horrible. It felt like I was on a hiatus for TWO YEARS. AGAIN.

Anyway, personal stuff aside, I think I have more free time in November and I’m hoping to finish at least five books. As for blog posts, I can’t promise anything yet because I don’t want to stress myself but let’s be real, it’s still going to happen. LOL.

So, diving straight into the post, and I know it’s late but, here are the five books I am hoping to read and ACTUALLY FINISH because I have been starting multiple books but haven’t actually finished any of them. *cries in a corner* Oh, and this excludes all the ARCs I have to finish, by the way. šŸ˜‰

1. First & Then by Emma Mills

This is one of the books I’ve started last month but haven’t finished yet. I was reading it on the plane on my way back home from a trip. And I’m sad because I liked what I’ve read so far but I put it down when I got home and it has remained closed since. That was almost two weeks ago. I’ve read good reviews about it so I really, really want to finish it SOONNNNN. Wish me luck!

2. Howl’s Moving CastleĀ (Howl’s Moving Castle #1) by Diana Jones

This one I have been putting off for sooo long but I think it’s high time I read it. It’s been a while since I’ve watched the Ghibli filmā€”Ā which I LOVE butĀ I don’t remember some parts of the story. Also, I just want to meet Howl in the book, TBH. šŸ˜€

3. Starfish by Akemi Dawn Bowman

I’m bringing balance to my reading month by reading contemporary books alongside fantasy books since I mostly readĀ fantasy and I know I’ll fall in a slump if I read ONLY FANTASY books. I’ve actually started this too and the premise is interesting and I think it’s a sad book and I’ll probably be heartbroken after but it’s okay, I’LL BE READY FOR THAT. Or I may be completely wrong and not be heartbroken. There’s only one thing to do to find out, isn’t there? WE WILL SEE.

4. Air Awakens (Air Awakens #1) by Elise Kova

Air Awakens is one of those books I’ve been wanting to read since it’s come out but it’s difficult to get a hold of because I was a broke college student back then and I’m still a broke working girl now so I couldn’t read it. I know that the Kindle copies of the series are much cheaper but I want to own them becauseĀ the covers are TO DIE FOR!Ā I meanā€”

Also, I really want to support Elise since she is really hardworking and she’s one of the kindest human beings out there, I swear. She gifted me a personalized copy of Air Awakens and I can finally start the series! Hooray! I’ll need to buy the rest of the series to finish it. ;D

She’ll be releasing a sequel series next year and I really need to catch up or else. Also, I just know I’ll love this series. I’M CLAIMING IT!!

5. The Final EmpireĀ (Mistborn #1) [+ The Well of Ascension + The Hero of Ages] by Brandon Sanderson

Lastly, this book. THIS BOOK. I only have one thing to say: If I don’t finish it by the end of this month (or this series by the end of this year), somebody disown me. Or not, BECAUSE THAT’S MEAN BUT YOU CAN GIVE ME A PEP TALK. I’LL LISTEN, I PROMISE. THANKS.

There we go; those are the books I’ll be prioritizing this month. What are yours? Is one of these on your TBR as well? Or perhaps you’ve already read it? Let me know!

  1. I got into Brandon Sanderson’s books because of Elliott Brooks’ vlog, and they’re quite amazing. I prefer Warbreaker because it has more humor, and I don’t know, the style meshed with me better, but the Mistborn trilogy is awesome too. I hope you (are) enjoy(-ing) them!

    1. I’m actually rereading The Final Empire since I never finished it the first time I read it. I was probably at 80% when I put it down and I haven’t picked it up again until recently. I’m still really, really liking it! I hope I can get ahold of The Well of Ascension and The Hero of Ages soon so I can finally finish the series and then I can finally start the second era or the Stormlight Archive series. Also, I love Elliot! Her Mistborn videos made me pick up TFE again ā¤
